Shri Manibhai Patel was born in a farmer family in a small village of Gujarat in the year 1918. He never completed his studies but was very sharp with Practical Knowledge. He never wanted to be a Farmer so he came to Bombay looking for a job. He worked for many years as a Technician in Parle Products who manufactured "Beverages like Thumps-Up, Gold-Spot and Biscuits like Parle-G".

His enthusiasm never died and soon he started his own factory with his elder brother Shri Babubhai Patel for manufacturing components for Cinema projector and gradually manufactured complete Projector of 35mm film used in the Cinema House.

Within few years he independently started manufacturing Projector Components in his own house which continued for more than 5 years. Later, he was called by Shri P.N. Desai , who earlier happened to be his next door neighbor, to join Excel Group of Industries as Technical Director in 1955 here he served the company for 25 years. He retired at the age of 62 in the year 1980.

During his entrepreneurship, he also took part in the Mahatma Gandhi's "Quit India" movement in 1947, and manufactured "CHARKHA" - (manual machine for extracting cotton threads) in big quantity for the movement to express his National Integrity.

Born in 1945, Mr. Vasant M. Patel has completed his primary education in Bombay at G.P.P. High School at Vile Parle, and completed his Electrical Diploma at Valsad Polytechnic in 1968. After completing studies, he joined Precise Engineering Works in 1971 and started manufacturing DC Micro Motors.

He is a kind hearted, noble man having pleasing personality. With his polite nature, he is loved by all his friends and has made his presence felt in the society. He is capable of getting any work done from his fellow colleagues. Because of these qualities, the relations between the workers and management are cordial, all disputes and difference are solved amicably without any outside agencies like worker's union.

He became the President of Small Scale Industries Association of Valsad District during 1987-89. He is also a social worker and became the Chartered President of Lion Club of Valsad - Tithal Road in 1982. Because of his abilities in Social work too, he was elected as a District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 323-F during 1989-90.

Like his father Shri Manibhai, he is also quality conscious, because of which to-day our name LUNAR MOTORS is very well recognized for it's quality and after sales service in domestic as well as Global market. Mr.Vasant M. Patel deserves the credit for the goodwill of the company amongst the users of DC Micro Motors. Its been 29 years he is still active as Managing Director of the company.

He has widely traveled and has visited Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, U.S.A and U.K twice in the last few years, not only to source raw material but also to bring in new technology to his factory. He has developed customized Armature Winding machines which has assisted in doubling the production of the company.

Mr. Hemal Patel, the third generation for Lunar Motors was born in 1973 in Bombay City. He did his schooling from Bai Avabai High School, Valsad. He has a bright background of Industrial Electronics from Bombay Board and have wide knowledge in Mechanics. He is well acquainted with Computers and have full ability to design new motors using Computer Aided Designing.

He joined the company in 1996 at the age of 22 years and is playing an active part in Developing & Marketing of new motors for the company. He used his combined knowledge of Electronics, Mechanics & Computers for creating new motor models and have designed new DC Motors used in Diamond Industries, Currency Counting Machines and Defense Electronics and Synchronous Motors used in Air-conditioner louvers, Novelty items and Microwave Ovens.

Recently in April '2000, he visited China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, & Singapore to source new vendors for motor components and to update his knowledge for Motor Technology. With his constant efforts in Purchase management, he has brought down the motor price to stand Global competition keeping in mind the Quality.

"Like father like Son", Mr. H.V. Patel is also an active Social worker-The Past President of Leo Youth Club of Valsad and now a member & Past Secretary of Lions Club of Valsad-Tithal Road.
